Who should come to the Writing Center:

Students of Spanish enrolled in Spanish 210 or higher.

How to get help:

As soon as possible in the writing process make an appointment with the instructor whose schedule is most convenient for you. PLEASE CONTACT THE INSTRUCTOR VIA EMAIL.  Please include the DATE you would like to meet, not just the day of the week.  For example:  "Wednesday, January 14th at 3:00pm", instead of "next Wednesday at 3".  For general questions, please send an email to SpanishWritingCenter@northwestern.edu

Writing Center

We are aware that due dates may change, however, we may not always be able to accommodate reschduling due to previously existing appointments.

What will happen during the appointment?

The instructor will read through your paper and:

a) discuss grammar mistakes with you (not proofread your   paper)

b) make suggestions on how to revise/improve the structure of your essay

c) will plan future appointments with you if needed, to  continue revision on the essay

 

For your appointment, you MUST bring:

a) a copy of your essay

b) the essay's guidelines/instructions

What you should expect?

Improvement in both knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and writing skills in Spanish

COME EARLY, COME OFTEN!

The Blackboard site has grammar excercises with answers, vocabulary lists, style suggestions, writing aids and videos to practice listening skills.
