The Department of Spanish & Portuguese is pleased to announce the following news about our graduate students:
Marco Carvajal has been awarded the Paris Program in Critical Theory Fellowship.
Carlos Halaburda has been accepted to attend the Summer Institute of Psychoanalysis and Politics at the Sorbonne Nouvelle university in Paris.
Yasmín S. Portales Machado has been awarded the SSRC’ Summer Dissertation Proposal Development (DPD) Program Fellowship.
Jesse Rothbard has been awarded the Brazil Initiation Scholarship from BRASA to conduct exploratory research in Salvador de Bahia and Sao Paulo to explore portrayals of queerness in contemporary Brazilian crime narratives and he will participate in the Middlebury Summer Language Institute for Portuguese.
