Edith Kreeger Wolf Distinguished Visiting Professor

Florencia Garramuño is Full Professor at University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires. She received her Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literatures from Princeton University, and completed her postdoctoral work at the Programa Avançado de Cultura Contemporânea at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has published, among other books, Primitive Modernities: Tango, samba and Nation and The Opaque Experience. Literature and
Disenchantment. Her most recent book is La vida impropia. Anonimato y singularidad. She received the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship (2008), and was appointed Tinker Visiting Professor in Stanford in 2018.
